JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GO OUT INTO THE WATER COMES ANOTHER HATE MONGER AFTER THE OBAMAS.

"While filling in for conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, fellow radio personality Tammy Bruce launched a verbal attack against Michelle Obama, referring to her as "trash" and mocking her message to kids about the importance of good grades."

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ALL THIS OBAMA BASHING COMING FROM CONSERVATIVE TALK SHOW HOSTS?

I think it is terrible, but better they say it out in the open so we know what we are dealing with and not be confused about it. We heard a remark yesterday in the evening on one of the political talk shows that floored us. The woman calling into the show referred to the "kool-aid" part of the country. Can't remember right this minute which one. My husband generally watches one then goes to another. He tries to see some of both the more conservative as well as the liberal, and we try to keep up with both. Maybe when they finally quit spending all their time hating and throwing temper tantrums they'll be able to actually do something good for the country, but oh, I forgot, that is not their intent.

Each of us are entitled to our opinions and we're free to express them. I've been insulted by things Michelle Obama said from the start. I have a right to those feelings, just as Tammy Bruce has a right to think that Michelle is her definition of trash: Trash is a, is a thing that is color blind, it can cross all eco -- ecosocionomic kind of categories, you can work on Wall Street or work at the Wal-Mart. Trash are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy.

I didn't hear the comments, don't listen to that program. I do listen to Michael Savage....yikes.....he trashes everyone. He's a rich white jew who believes that we're killing ourselves and America. He may be right. I also listen to some liberal radio personality and for the life of me I cannot remember his name. But they all hate each other, it makes for good ratings. What ever happend to "Lets Pretend", the Saturday morning radio show that took us to fairy tale places and the bad guys always lost.

There are a lot of hate mongers out there trying to build a name for themselves by taking cheap shots. Before Tammy Bruce calls anyone trash maybe she should take a look in the mirror. I'm also sure that Tammy doesn't hold degrees from Harvard and Princeton either.

Well Marilyn I listened to that link you posted and I have to say, Tammy turns my stomach. She is the type that could find fault in Christ at the second coming.

Trash is something you throw in the garbage for the land fill, that never includes another human being.
Oh and trash is something we ( the responsible ones ) have been trying to cut back on here in America

The Dark Side never sleeps and what they offer is fear and loathing, so tell me something I didn't know. The ship of state is in good hands with and able body crew. Steady as she goes, ahead full throttle and through the waves of dispair, baten down the hatches and hang on, the storm ahead is a rough one but tranquil is the sea just ahead. With President Obama as captain at the helm of this ship of state, he is the best, no doubt about it. For the ones who want to jump ship, head to rails and good luck out on the open seas, me I sign up on this crew a while back and put my trust in the captain of this ship.

The freedom of speech doesn't include the right to say anything to or about anyone one if that was the case society was we understand it would collapse in a few days. It would be no such thing as slander, defamation, hate speech, communication of a threat or an entire host of standards that society holds near and dear.

So what else is new? Trash talking, rants, bashing, put-downs, slanderous remarks, hurtful gossip, etc. is everywhere. One can find it at work among co-workers, at family dinner tables, sports, bars/clubs, on the street, etc. Trash talking is everywhere even here within the Gather community. These days, anxiety levels are high, people are strung out on stress, unstable economic and financial situations at work and at home contributes to irrational, hurtful diatribes from those who are so inclined.

it doesn't surprise me. ppl have nothing better to do but judge others and talk trash about other ppl. i guess it makes them feel better about themselves. hate mongers usually hate themselves and trashing someone else makes them feel better.
