An update on the weather...we had a tornado touch down tonight!

I just found out from a friend that all that rattling of windows and heavy winds that I experienced during that storm we were having, was actually a tornado that touched down and was going by my neighborhood.  Her windows rattled just like mine did.  It just never dawned on me to check the news.

Wow!  I have lived in tornado country and experienced far worse than what I did tonight in the Houston area, but for some reason, like I said...it just never dawned on me that this is what it might be.

Now it makes sense why my dogs hid under the couch.  They are much more sensitive to various tones in their ears then humans and can hear the highest of pitches.  I didn't think the storm was bad enough for them to be that scared.  I guess they felt and heard something I didn't?

I told you in my earlier post that I heard winds that sounded like an ocean.   I guess it wasn't the ocean I was hearing.  It was the sounds of the tornado whizzing by!  I guess I am glad that I didn't know what was going on, I might have been scared out of my whits end!!!
