E is for Eagles (photo essay for zoomit)

I was able to get a few shots of the different eagles at the Detroit Zoo. All of these birds were found in the wild severly injured and were then nursed back to health. The injuries were severe enough that these birds could not be released back in to the wild. The Detroit Zoo gives the eagle a good home where they can relax and feel safe.

Gotta preen and look good for the crowd coming in.....

Yes, I'm rather skinny...but I don't hunt for myself anymore.

We don't want our photo taken today....

At least make sure you get the photo from my best side.

Did you bring some food for us also?

 

I hope you enjoy the eagle shots. Afterall, they are our National Birds....and yes, I probably do have photos of animals starting with every letter of the alphabet. LOL.
