Amber Alert Cancelled For Two Colorado Girls

Two girls have been found safe after an Amber Alert in Aurora,Colorado. Their mother was found dead and their father died after shooting himself hours later.

A search was launched for Brianna Patterson, 4, and her 3-year-old sister, Aliyah, after the woman was found dead in a home in the eastern suburb of Aurora on Tuesday. 

Police say Brian Carl Patterson, 38, the girls' father, shot himself late Tuesday after he was pulled over by state troopers in the northern suburb of Thornton. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

It's not clear if the girls were in the car with him, but police say they were found unharmed.

I'm so glad they were found unharmed physically. Unfortunately, they will be emotionally scared.

I'm glad that the girls are alive though!! They will have parents and hopefully ones who aren't murder/suicide...

sad about the parents, but I am glad the kids are ok, they have a hard road ahead of them and will need alot of prayers!
