Everyone please pass this on to everyone you know.  He is a level 3 sex offender who is likely to reoffend.  You know we all sit here and say how scared we are that there is a sex offender in our neighborhood registering.  This is what I have been telling you all if they want to reoffend they will nothing will stop them.  At least those sex offenders are doing as they are suppose to, some of them shouldn't even be on that registry and being judged.  It is men like this you should be scared of.
Friday he removed his electronic monitoring device.
1991 pleased guilty of first degree child rape
1996 attempted to sexually assault a 17 year old while she was hiking.  She was able to flee
2007 arrested for failure to register and for supervision violations.  Once released he fled to CA and extradited back to WA
Eric E. Hartwell is on active supervision with Marysville Department of Corrections.
6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has blue eyes.
Anyone that sees him or knows his where abouts are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
Even if this isn't close to you please pass on to everyone on your list he he fled from CA to WA who knows where he will go next.

Good info. We ought to all be checking the registered sex offenders in our area -- we had one man, back at another address that ought to have been on that database (he never did get put on it), child abuse, rape of a 5 year old and yes, he did go to jail, but was out -- and instead found three others who lived on our street (whom we didn't know), that were on it!
I hope he's found before....well, you know.

Oh my gosh, that IS scary! Thanks so much, Renee, for posting this.....people everywhere need to know about this man. It just terrifies me that creeps like this are out running around.......within reach of little kids and teenagers..........one never knows when guys like him will strike next.

This angers me... he committed rape of a child in 1991... attempted to sexually assault a teen five years later... arrested in 2007 for failing to abide by the law in registering.... and he is STILL walking the streets!? Why wasn't he in JAIL!!!??? Grrrrr....

We're in Washington! I saw this on the news today. I hope they catch this guy before he can get very far. I'm on the other side of the mountains from there and the passes are closed due to the weather right now.

I don't think this man cares what roads are closed and if he has been on the run since Friday it is hard telling where he is. I will keep you all updated if I find out anymore.

There used to be places they kept them locked up in, not jails, institutions, perhaps too costly now, but how much is a child's life worth?

It seems to me that crimes against women and children rarely get prosecuted with the same force as crimes involving money. This man and others like him who have committed such heinous crimes, should not be allowed out of prison unsupervised.

This guy can hide anywhere and you would never know it. He is just too average looking. You could pass him on the street, even hold a conversation with him, and you would never connect the dots. There is nothing outstanding about his looks, which makes him all the more dangerous.

Even if they do bring him alive, he's still a marked man in prison because there are three things prisoners hate... former cops, former lawyers and child molsters. My advice to any jurisdiciton that grabs him... segregate him!
