Husband surprised me

I often refer to my husband as my Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, which at times I have to explain to people what I mean by that.  In some ways, you can say the love story between Padme and Anakin kind of plays out how our marriage has been, but hopefully has a much happier ending than the movie. 

Anyhow, he did the sweetest thing yesterday that totally made my day!  When I got home from picking my son up at school, I noticed a vase with 12 red long stemmed roses sitting by the door.  There was a note attached, too.  Being me, I figured that maybe my ex had this delivered to my daughter, whose 17th birthday is today, as an early present.  Looking at the name on the florist card it had my name on it. 

I almost slipped down the stairs trying to juggle everything, but thankfully managed to catch myself.  I put the very heavy vase with roses on the counter and proceeded to open the card.  The card said "I was just thinking how much I love you."  No name, but I knew exactly who it was from. 

The long stemmed roses were absolutely beautiful!  I had a smile on my face for pretty much the rest of the day.  It wasn't until later that evening I had a chance to thank my husband for the wonderful surprise and tell him how much I appreciated him for everything he does.  In addition, I told him that was the BEST part of my day!
