v-v Staking Out The Twilight Video Release v-v

The Twilight video release date was 3/21/09. Redbox had been posting it for awhile, and my tweenage daughter swooned every time we passed a Redbox video machine.  She wanted us to be at the Redbox location first thing the morning of the release. Noti wanting to get up at the crack of dawn if I didn't have to, I inquired at the store it is in what time they filled the video box. The clerk said she didn't know, but that they might not necessarily get it the first day, becuase this is a small town.  Sure enough, we zoomed up there on the 21st, and it was not there yet, nor was it at the other Redbox location in town.  The second day I checked the Redbox website online to see if it was available for reservation locally, and it was, which meant that it was in.  We zoomed up and got it, and my daughter was one happy camper! She watched it three times. I figure we may have actually lucked out by it being a day late, because everyone was probably up there the first day trying to get it, and then didn't go back the second day. My daughter became a Twilight fan when her Aunt and Grandma took her to see it in December.  I became a fan when she went to the library get the book, and then read the first couple of pages to me while we were sitting in a fast food drive thru on the way home.  I picked it up later while it was sitting around the house and read most of the rest of it. Since December my duaghter has read all four books of the Twilight series-which is pretty impressive to me since she is a tweenager and those are full size books.  Like her, I am now anxiously awaiting the release of the next movie. We will both be among the first in line at the theatre when it comes out.  On the surface the story is about a vampire family who tries hard to fit into human society, and on a deeper level it is about teenage love, controlling desires, and family loyalty.
