I heard that it was up for a bit, but don't look for it to stay up for too long.......sure has been a rough ride for the Stock Market, hasn't it?

FINALLLY~ will it last~will it stabalize~i freaking hope so~I've watched my investments and 401 decline by almost 50% in the last six months~and I am soo freaking ready for a rise~

Stocks are nothing more than government sponsored (and encouraged) gambling. I would no more "invest" in something that has no real backing than I would flush a handfull of bills down a toilet.

There are bound to be both ups and downs before we can see any certainty of a trend here! But it is certainly good to have anything appear positive in the financial industry today.

GOP explanation is when it goes down it is because President Clinton made room for cheaters and President Obama is a bumbling idiot but when it goes up.....it is ALWAYS because of SOME magical thing Ronald Reagan did .............decades ago. Anyone that draws conclusions on a day to day basis knows nothing about finance.

I tuned in Limbaugh while I raked pine needles and pine cones from under my trees and heard him say, that while he acknowledges that there are massive lay-offs, that perhaps employers/businesses are only laying off people because they "anticipate" that the economy will "become" (in the future) bad because of Obama's policies. He expounded further on how it is Obama's negative statements that are harming the economy.

Now I have never, never, never met a retail businessman who laid off people when business was good,
"merely in "anticipation" of the possibility that business might become bad.
