Valerie Bertinelli, stunning in a bikini on People Magazine Cover

This morning on the TODAY show, the new People Magazine cover was revealed with a stunning Valerie Bertinelli in a bikini. She's 48 years old, people. Unbelievable!

Valerie Bertinelli is a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and claims she's lost over 40 pounds on the plan. For those of you who are curious, her "before" photo is below. Not a bad picture, but you've got to admit after her weight loss, Valerie Bertinelli looks phenomenal in the bikini on the People Magazine cover.

I like the Allure Cindy Crawford photos that came out. These don't look Photoshopped to me...well, maybe slight airbrush. But it looks like it's really her body without any nips or tucks from the computer.

No doubt about it... she's worked hard and looks wonderful. I have to wonder, though, if there wasn't a bit of airbrushing done to touch up that photo.

I agree that she looks great, but I also agree that the photo has been retouched. How much- how would we have any idea?

And either that's a bad reproduction of the photo or she has major smile lines.

Is she happy? Is she healthy? That's more what I am concerned about than how she looks in a bikini at 48.

Funny thing; they had video coverage of her on TV tonight from 2007 saying that when she lost the weight, no matter what she looked like, it would be inappropriate for any 48-year-old woman to wear a bikini and to slap her if they ever saw her do it.

Obviously something changed in her thinking.
