This week, Nick and I found the tent I want on clearance at Walmart. It was $20 less than it was just last week. It's surprising, too, since it's just gearing up to be camping season here in Michigan. It must have been a left over from last year they needed to clear out.
The tent sleeps 6, and is a 11ft by 9ft tent, with it being tall enough to walk into. I also like that it has a decent sized attached canopy to the front over the door, so that will be nice while we camp. I had wanted to buy a stand alone canopy to have, but the KOA campgrounds only allow 1 structure (1 tent, or 1 camper, etc). I'm not sure if they'd have allowed the stand alone canopy.
It's pretty hard finding a tent with an attached canopy off the front like that. It comes out a few feet, it looks like. I'm excited! Nick also said it doesn't have to come out of my camping budget, which is nice.

Carla- with 3 dogs, it might be a tight squeeze. Once I get it set up (I need to learn how to set this up with only Rae for help, and water proof it), I'll get some pictures of the inside to show about the size of it.

BTW my tent cost over 700 dollars it a Montana canvas all season tent, have had it for years.
