This past Sunday, I headed out to Easthampton MA for the New England Webcomics Weekend, a premier event for webcomic creators and fans.
The venue was Eastworks, a mill building converted into artist studio and retail space.

This event was something of a cross between an informal party and a convention. There were panels scheduled, and an organized pub-crawl on Friday night. There was a gaming room for pickup tabletop gaming, and a lot of tables and open studios where guests could mingle with artists and check out their work.
Admission was free, but required reservations due to parking and space considerations. For a first-time event, the organizers really did a great job at promotion. Attendance was excellent, with many people attending from long distances off.
I purchased a couple of books of comics and handed out a few of my own promotional minicomics before heading off to meet a friend for a change of pace and some outdoor fun.
