Poetry Nations week #1 Face off topic is: Sunrise

　

All entries are due by Friday Evening at 9E/8CT.
Winners will be announced by the following Sunday.

　

Please tag your entries Nations Face off, or just Face off.

Anything other than free verse should be labeled accordingly. Lines are limited to 40. The word itself does not have to be used so long as the idea is clearly represented.

A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place poem will be chosen with overall points being taken off for lack of adherence to the weeks topic, lack of adherence to poetry form chosen and going over line limits.

The top three will be featured for the week.

You should definitely clarify the free verse comment. Not many that write poetry on a daily basis knows what this means.

I am assuming that you would like specific form (haiku, sonnet, triolet, villanelle, terzanelle, couplet, etc) labeled, perhaps with a link explaining the form ???
