Flying kites - It's spring!!

I have a bunch of the grandkids for the weekend so yesterday afternoon we went out to fly kites. The day was perfect. A little chill but not uncomfortable and the wind was perfect.

Alana holding the string while Branden got the bird kite launched.

Ready for take off.

The bird flew good it just wouldn't go as high as the dragon.

The dragon was a beautiful kite. Very colorful.

Alana was very serious while she was flying.

Don't know when we've had a better day for this.

I had to take my turn while Alana played with the puppies.

This pup seemed to think Alana belonged to her.

It was a wonderful day and you could feel spring in the air.

really fancy kites, looks like fun. never had kite like that where I grew up, Loved flying kites when I was a kid. I could get them really high too. Some time i had 3 or 4 thing of string that I had to wind back on my stick I had it on.

I love those first wonderful Spring days when we can go kite flying! I'm looking forward to that some day. We're still all brown up here. I love the pictures.
