Rest Now, Kelly

Kelly (M) K, RN, age 44, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was a 1982 graduate of Comstock Park High School where she played volley ball and competed in the long jump. Kelly graduated from Montcalm Community College School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for Spectrum Health-Butterworth in the 4-West Medical Surgical Unit. All of her life she was a self-less compassionate person with a sense of humor and wit.

An outdoors person, Kelly was best at backpacking, biking, and camping even in the most primitive of facilities. She taught her children that there is always something that can be done and to work with what you have. With Kelly her family was #1, and they always came first. She worked very hard to provide for her children, and many times she would work extra to meet the needs of her family. Kelly was the super glue that held things together.

She is survived by her significant other, William S of Comstock Park; her loving children, Kayla K and her significant other, Tim N of Rockford, Kiera K of Comstock Park, and Kain K of Comstock Park; grandchildren, Alise and Brynley; her parents, Caroline and Samuel M; grandfather, Grandpa Robert T; brothers and sisters, Carol M, Scott and Deb M, Julie M, Jeff and Laurie M, Ann Marie M; numerous aunts, uncles, including a special niece Samantha M, nephews, cousins, and friends. The service for Kelly will be Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Relatives and friends may gather at the Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
