We left for Disneyland on 3/19 a few minutes before 5 AM and got back home after 1 AM. We had fun but there were a few times it wasn't so fun. I didn't know that my 9 year old was so afraid of the "unknown" and so instead of looking forward to rides, he would dread it and ask "Does it go fast?" etc. He enjoyed some of it but the first part of the day wasn't so good with him. At the end of the day, my best friend's 12 year old daughter was overtired and cried all the way back to the car when we were leaving Disneyland itself. My kids (9 and 7) were pretty good at that point and wanted to watch fireworks (even though I've been to Disney as an adult and child, I never saw the fireworks live either) we had to leave since D was upset. I had my kids walk by me and walk backwards so they could watch the fireworks as we left. I held on to them so they wouldn't bump into anything.
But with that said, there were a lot of good times! My 7 year old was the one who got the whole Disney experience the most out of the three kids. He's 7 but he seems so little to me but he enjoyed the heck out of the fast rides. My best friend and I plan to take him back alone on his birthday in September. I asked my oldest before time and he said he'd rather stay home at Nana and PawPaws. I refuse to believe that my oldest will never fully enjoy Disney so I am trying to figure out why he's so very afraid and how to get him past it in a loving way.
So now the kids are fine but my best friend and I are still recovering. Our legs still ache! lol. I didn't remember that from a few years ago. Maybe I am getting old. :D
Anyhoo, pictures to follow later. They are still on my camera. Pics and lots of video. Have to do a lot of cleaning because we're having a birthday party for all the March birthday's in the family tomorrow.
