Little Havana in Miami is such a colorful place, and the details are so joyful to study. The main street Calle Ocho is filled with small sidewalk cafes, bars and unique shops, and it seems there is something for everyone.
I'd love to visit there but is it safe? Friends who lived in various places in Miami told us of hearing gun shots all night while sleeping and of bullets going over their heads while they were shopping. And of lots of robberies, many of tourists.
We might be going to Miami in November. We probably won't be visiting that specific spot, but when it gets closer to time for us to leave, I might be asking for some ideas on places we should visit, if that's ok?
Lovely. We've never been, even though my husband is Cuban. We've just not gone down as far south as Miami. I'd like to, but don't see any plans soon for a trip that far south.
