I just had a Dear friend of mine tell me that his brother was turned down for a jod because he had a low credit score. What do you think? Has the Human race gone completely mad?
That's not unusual, especially if you're going to be handling money. In the old days, anyone who worked in retail had to be bonded. There wasn't so much internal theft then, either.
Depends on what the the job is. My husband is a police officer and they do a full financial check on you, If you have bad credit or money problems they will immediately disqualify you because you would be high risk. If you need money or are having money problems they don't want to hire people that could potentially steal or do something illegal to get that money. Their are many professions or jobs that check your financials.
Since even some car and house insurance companies determine your rates by your credit score, it stands to reason that jobs are judged that way, too. In this market, they can wait for the perfect candidate.
Thats ridiculous.Ive heard of this before.I think its stupid.Just because someone has bad credit doesn't make them a bad employee.People make bad finacal descions but that doesn't make them a bad person and should not be denied a job because of it.This world is getting so greedy.It pushes my buttons.I hate greedieness!They do credit reports for places to live too.I can understand that a little bit people don't want to lose money of course.But people NEED a place to live as well as a job to work.So I think its a really stupid thing for them to do and just outrages me.sorry for this long rant.
Well, yes, the human race has gone mad, to answer your question. But judging a person by his credit score isn't a new thing. It doesn't seem fair, though.
