Well, her appointment did not go as well as I had hoped. This doctor did change her meds. He thinks the med will last longer. But he did write a paper for me to take to the school about the long bus ride. So, hopefully I can get that switched. I still have to get her meds. Silly me drove right past CVS and forgot. Thats what happens when I have been gone all day and have my daughter with me.
He also wants me try meletone. Not sure about spelling. To give to my daughter to help her sleep at night. This is like a herb and I can buy at any place now. I did mention NF and was wanting to know if testing can be done. Since more and more coffee leah a spots are showing up. I know I spelled that wrong to. But anyone who knows about NF will know what I am talking about. The doctor sounds like he doesn't like to do MRI's or stuff like that on young kids. Because he mention that they really don't know the effects this tests have on kids. So, I asked him if there was some sort of blood test or something we could rule NF out. He said no. But he wants to see her in 4 months.
I really think it is time to go looking for another peditrician. I mention the banging her head. My daughter rocking. Heck, she was doing it in his office. But he kind of over looked it. Uh!!

My daughter has trouble falling asleep but once she crashes she stays out the whole night - she is also ADHD - I am going to have to ask her doc if he thinks melatonin would work for her too!!?!!
Have a nice weekend!
We went through two doctors before finding the right one for both Sky and Roshane.

You know what I am talking about than. My hubbys niece has NF really bad. Where it sits on her optic nerve and at the base of her skull where her spine connects. She is mentally a '6 yr old' and will be twelve next month. She also has adhd and odd.
My daughter does have adhd and odd. She has sever vision problems that make me wonder if she has NF and that is affecting her vision. The doctor mention her vision, I told him the last I went to her eye specialist he said her eyes were getting worse where she has to where a patch over her eyes for 4 hours. I also told him we go see the eye specilaist tomorrow. The sucky part is in order to get the test I want done on my daughter, a peditricain needs to refer her. Otherwise the insurance will not pay for it.
MY sister in law went with me. She agreed the doctor really sucked and does not like him either. She even said I need to get a new doctor. She is a register nurse.
She is Precious !!! BTW melatonin is something our body needs and its no going to harm her I will have her in prayer (Hugs) Mj
melatonin should help, also try Valerian root and Chammomile
If it starts with a "G," it's All Good! Thanks for your support!

Gave you a 10.
Here from P.I.F.
Yes NF can be very deforming. My sister in law is only 43 and the NF makes her look alot older. Her mother is 62 and people think they are sisters. Her mother is also disfigured from the NF. The other day when my sister and I went out to eat..they gave her the senior discount without even asking....that made her feel bad. But she didn't say anything after she noticed either.
I agree with you 100% That is wh I am not happy with him. I think he feels I am one of those crazy mothers. But he seen how she was acting in his office...She was bouncing off the walls, rocking backa nd fourth. She could not stay still.
So, does that mean the child was wrongly dianoisged? Or is there nothing wrong with him except being spoiled?
No she has not been tested for autisum. My daughter doctor has not ran any testson my daughter at all. He is dismissing my concerns like I am one of those crazy mother swho make things up. It is really upsetting.
I sure hope things work out for your daughter and you.
