High School Reunions, do you help or attend?

My 30 year reunion is this summer. We've been having meetings to get everything set up and it's so much fun to visit with old friends. Everything is coming together nicely now and most things are covered. I am the internet contact person. I have this huge email list that I use to keep everyone in touch. I am really surprised at the amount of people that have come out of the woodwork this winter. I'm a member on Facebook too and have located several on there.

One friend I've been in touch with even works at a school that is less than 2 miles from my home! We're on line almost every day now.

We had another meeting last night. We're going to get prizes to give away. I'll be making up some special crocheted items to donate too. I only did a naughty pillow for the last one and they guys had a lot of fun with that!

So, any of you attend or help out with their reunions, college or high school?

I think I'd like to attend, but I probably won't. I haven't been to any of the past reunions. Part of me would love to reconnect with the past... but I should just probably let it go and move on.

I've never been to any of mine, and don't think the school knows where I am anyway. I live in a different state and have no contact with anybody I went to school with either. So I doubt I'll be at the next one, which would be the 40th if they have them every ten years?

Unfortunatley I would have to fly to Japan to attend my reunions. Plus, we only had 16 people in the senior class and only 15 actually graduated, therefore the have Alumni parties and from what I hear most of the people who show up are in their 70's and 80's and I wouldn't know them from Jack since they're from the class of what? 1947?

I went to the 5 year one and never went to another one. My 35th will be in a couple years...I doubt I make it to that one either.

I enjoy helping to put ours together. I guess I get it from my mom. Her 55 year is this summer too. She actually meets with the local friends every couple of months or so for a luncheon. She helps to contact them and let them all know when the lunch is planned for and most of her past reunions too.
