Time Lost

I can't get it back - no matter how hard I try
No matter how desperately I want it

I want those years back...
time to smile, time to cry, time to ponder

I want to do what once eluded me
I want to dance and sing and just be free

I want the love I once ran from
I want to run in the rain and stomp in the puddles

I want to scream with glee at the top of my lungs
I want to sit in the middle of nowhere and 'just be'

I want to walk hand in hand
I want to hug and kiss and love

I want the hourglass spun back around
I want to, with everything in my heart

every last breath i have
ever tear left in my soul
....I want back my time lost
