I have not really explored my groups this morning to see what new delights have been offered by Gather. And, at first, I thought perhaps there were not any glitches that could be attributed to the latest upgrade.
But with every upgrade comes some glitches, even if they are not related to what was changed or improved. Today is no different.
I hit the "my posts" button and was taken to a list of my posts. So far, so good. Then I decided to see if there was any change to the "most viewed" and selected that as my sorting selection.
Last week, or maybe it was the week before, I discovered that one of my posts had over 2500 views. I was expecting to see that at the top of the "most viewed" posts. But lo and behold, the first item on the list was this:

I changed my selection choice to "most discussed" and I believe that list was correct. At the top were discussions with 193 and 192 comments. They also had about 400 views each - not as many as the 2500 I expected to see at the top of my "most viewed" list, but definitely more than the Cowboy Stew.
Under "highest rated" the Cowboy Stew was at the top of the list again. That's not surprising. It's rated a 10 and it's from 2007. That was before my favorite trolls found me and started giving me drive-by-ones for everything. (Of course, now that I have pointed this out to them, they can gleefully look for some of my eariler writings that they have thus far ignored.)
The drop-down list for most recently modified was correct as well.

Oh look. The DB1ers have missed it so far today. :) Not to worry. They'll arrive soon to make that right.
I refreshed my page and tried getting a new and correct list of posts most viewed, but that crazy Cowboy Stew still claimed that spot. So I moved on to check out my "other photos" page. Sure enough, it appears to be correct.
The most viewed was this one, with 143 views.

Most viewed videos? At first glance, I thought that was correct but it is not. It lists my top video as having 93 views, but as I looked down the page, there was one with 284 views. On the next page was a video with 223 views.
I went back to look more closely at my photos, just in case there was a photo viewed more than the one listed at the top, and there was not. Oddly enough, though, I found about six photos that show no viewings at all. And I found one that boldly proclaims "photo unavailable" - something I posted in February of this year. I have no idea what that is all about.
These are all the glitches I found today - so far. My list of "most views" in posts and videos is off. And maybe that photo that has disappeared.
What about you? Have you discovered any glitches unrelated to the group upgrade? Or any that are related?
One inauiring mind - mine - wants to know.

I haven't done much else yet this morning.
There are several glitches being experienced by members today, including this one.
Sometimes Gather adds filters to listings (like all of the "Most/Highest ..... Listings"). These filters only allow content to be displayed that meets a certain criteria. Therefore, this can result in these lists presenting some data that doesn't appear to be 'right' in some way.
My comment was relating to this, and speculating that Gather may have added a filter to our content lists for some reason and simply didn't implement/design it correctly.
