Robert and I went up to our property in Snowflake, Arizona this past weekend. We really enjoyed getting away from it all for a few days.

I, of course, spent much of my time taking pictures. I can never get enough pictures of Moon Rock.

I love how this pinion pine tree is growing within the remains of this old juniper.

We took plenty of rides on the quads around the trails we built that go to different areas of the property. This is actually my favorite thing to do in the morning and in the evening.

Near our property there is a ridge that we’ve always wanted to find a road to. According to a map we saw there was supposed to be a road near our property that eventually led to another road that would go to the top of the ridge. So we decided to go explore.

We followed a road that followed the side of the ridge. This area is full of lava rock and so different from the rock on our property.

We found an old abandoned house, a cattle pond, and some cattle.

We found an old abandoned A-frame.

We found a building used to park a trailer or motor home under, complete with “crows nest” and already set concrete. Ha!

We never did find the road we wanted though. Oh well, we’ll find it another time.
I did get to try out my Christmas present for the first time. Now that’s comfort.

It was pretty cold and windy, and a few storms passed through but we still enjoyed our time on our little piece of heaven.

Too bad all the storms went around us and we didn't get any of the rain. Oh well, I did get to see this beautiful sunset.

That old building in stone with the fire-place was cool... I wonder how old that was?
Questions, questions, questions, LOL.
Very neat... thanks.
I'm not sure how old that building was but it was very cool. The wooden roof had been blown off and was lying off to the side. Isn't it cool how they built the fireplace right into the corner like that? The building was only about 12' by 12' at the most. It was probably a ranch hand's house.
Thanks.
