my boyfriend is pretty helpful around the house. he cleans the tub & toilets, does the laundry, vaccuums & washes floors, takes out the trash, attempts to cook easy things, etc.
yesterday whne i got home from work he was folding some laundry with a scowl on his face. i asked what was wrong and he made a comment about had a little laundry accident.
i looked in the laundry basket and saw that he had washed his work clothes (including uniform shirts), underwear & socks with my new red top. so now we both have pink underwear & socks in addition to his pinkish work jeans & work shirts.
then he asks me if i can stop wearing red clothes as they ruin the other laundry!
i was like - how many times have i told you NOT to wash my red & pink stuff with the rest of the clothes and not to wash my stuff with your work clothes?
instead of realizing or admitting that HE made a boo-boo it was my fault for having red clothes!
i don't want him to stop being helpful but sometimes it really not helpful in the end

Clint tries to help with cleaning up but his idea of help is throwing stuff in a random clear corner to where we will never find said object again.
When I clean it takes longer because I weed out what we don't need, I reorganize and put things in logical places where they are with other parts and bale to be found to be used again later.
It has always perplexed me that men -- some of whom I've known who were AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS, no less -- either claim they don't know how the washing machine works or have some other "issue" with doing laundry!
Our esteemed humorist, John Philipp, claims that there are "male machines" and "female machines" and, while things like the car, power tools, etc. are "male machines", things like the washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, etc. are "female machines" and never the twain shall meet, so to speak...
My own personal observation is that, for the MOST part, men are CARELESS and INOBSERVANT.
Well, I say send your boyfriend to my home.
He can do my laundry too.
Te he!
P.S., I can't get my hubby to clean anything. So, you're very lucky.
Be thankful he tries to help. So many men don't lift a thumb.
