We use plastic bags, but we re-use them.

1, 2, and 3 for me.
When I shop at one grocery store, I use their plastic bags.
When, I shop at Aldi's I use my own bag that is made of cloth. And, if I can't fit all my stuff in my bag, I use the paper bags they have there.
When I'm done with my plastic bags at home, I put them all together and take them back to the store so they can be reused.

When we lived in Portugal a German store, Lidyl, used to charge you ten cents (US) for very bag if you didn't bring any with you. This is the same idea where you "rent" a shopping cart for a euro, and then when you hook it back into the cart barn you get your euro back. So if you're lazy and don't return your cart then you'll be out the euro and some kid will return it and get the euro for himself.

Pretty smart those Europeans.

Whatever the store uses, but I PREFER plastic. It allows me to carry more than a bag or two into the house at a time.

All of the above. Depends on the day, what store I'm at, what kind of mood I'm in and if I felt like draggin in my own bags (or even if I had to think Costco).

Depends... skip if only one or two things. Plastic, but now some reusable ones for the grocery store. We need some plastic ones occasionally for the small garbage cans, etc. at the house.

Bring my own totes. They're so much easier to carry and can hold much more than the plastic and paper bags at the store. Plus it saves me a few pennies on the bill and helps the enviornment at the same time.

Plastic...and use them for my garbage cans so I don't have to buy expensive garbage bags to throw away. I double and triple them and use them as food storage bags doe some things. Triple bagged, I use them to carry things somewhere when I'm out for a walk. I always have a bag full of bags under the sink.

We moved to the reusable grocery bags about a year ago. (89 cents each) We bought 1 or 2 every time we went to the store until we had accumulated about ten of them. It doesn't matter if we just go for a couple of things or a weeks worth of products, we keep them in the car so we have them.
