Dear Gather, here is something you need to fix

Hi Gather,

It's been a while since I've complained about something not working, and I held off on complaining about this months ago, hoping it would get fixed in one of your updates since it was one of your updates that seems to have caused the problem.

Apparently my optimism would have been better off saved for winning the lottery, or running over my ex with my car as I am still having this problem.

You see, I've been trying to add new photos to my albums that I created, however when i try, even if it's just one photo or several, i get to watch it load, only to say "OPPS, there seems to be an error" and it all goes away, making me angry that I've wasted a good part of my day making the attempt to post content to your site.

So, if you could kindly see your way to fixing this problem, I'd be more than happy to continue sharing and recommending your site.

I had this same problem using Internet Explorer. I switched to Firefox, and it hasn't been a problem.

I noticed this a couple of times the end of last week but it's not been a big problem for me. It's mainly when I try to edit what groups something is posted to.

On the other hand, I still cannot edit my albums or create new ones to group my photos in, an issue which has gone on since Christmas. Very frustrating. Gather is aware of that one.

it won't let me edit photos into the albums after they are posted either like they are supposed to.

i'm using google chrome, not IE.

i'll try it from firefox to check.
I can see how that could be frustrating -- it must be the other side of the Craptastic and Voracious Gather "Editor" that eats articles. Nice to see they've included something for the visual art-inclined user to get pissed about...

I'm having this AWESOME problem today with Gather allowing me to view articles. FOUR times, I've been informed that I don't have "permission" to view the article, which is all well and good and I'd go away quietly if it wasn't MY OWN ARTICLE I WAS TRYING TO VIEW.

joy, now that is a great function of gather for sure. to not be able to see your own articles. who do you get permission from when the poster is yourself?
I've been trying to figure that out for the better part of the afternoon. Am I angry with myself so I'm teaching me a lesson of some kind? Am I no longer friends with myself? Everybody else can see them and comment on them. I know they can -- I can see you people doing that in my feed.

It's actually kind of cruel, when I think about it. It's like eating a roast beef sandwich in front of a starving person. Bad Gather! BAD!
*sigh* Now I want a roast beef sandwich AND a taco...

Sorry you're still having the problem. I haven't tried to do anything with photos lately.
Oh, hey -- not for nothin', Ceec, but the Google ads at the bottom are helpfully pointing out to you that there are OTHER sites and avenues with which to "Upload & Share Photos." ;-)

The only problem I have been having is it won't let me drop photos anymore. I can't seem to minimize my screen anymore so that I can drag and drop. Happened after the last gather update. Good luck with your problem I hope gather fixes it.

I can't organize my photos - every time I try to put an "other photo" into an album, it pops out with the message - MOVED FAILED!

What a drag of a problem which also happens to me but only when using Firefox. Sometimes on IE too but mostly just when trying to use Firefox.

Hope the problem gets ironed out sooner before later.
My sis was having the same problem. I haven't had a problem, but I use Firefox.

I know I can't move photos to an album unless there is already one photo in the album, but other than that no problems. I hope it gets fixed soon!

As long as I don't try to involve groups I can do whatever I want with my pictures. But it didn't start happening until this new group update. I only use IE.

i can't do it from any web browser. i can post them one at a time to the "other photos" section, but not into existing photo albums.

i don't keep albums so I have not had the problem. An open post never helps, but I have seen results when I went through the contact process in th ehlp section.

I dropped a TEN for you anyway. Nice to read you again.
Silly CC! Do you really hope that Gather will see this and fix this problem?

Oh, well. A girl has to have her dreams, I guess.
I'm sure they're on this issue with as much gusto as they are in correcting the postal code for KANSAS.
