St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time -- a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic!
~Adrienne Cook~
It's the one day in the year when everyone and everything is Irish. Yesterday, Papa and I took Sage and Julia to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Scituate, Massachusetts. Four carloads of adults, children and a dog traveled caravan style over to this seaside community. Unlike the previous week when temperatures were in the high 20's and low 30's, the day dawned with sunny skies and temperatures in the 50's....just perfect for wearing sweaters and light jackets. Come share "the wearing of the green" with us.

This is our little group waiting on the sidelines for the parade to begin. Notice the paper bags....all ready to gather the candy thrown from the floats. We come prepared!

Boston, Danny's dog, came dressed for the day with his kelly green necklace.

Julia hitched a ride with these clowns as we were walking down the street to our "spot" to view the parade.

"Like the gold of the sun, like the light of the day, may the luck of the Irish shine bright on your way. Like the glow of a star, and the lilt of a song may these be your joys all your life long."

Hugs and blessings - S.
I had a great day yesterday, couldn't think of any other way I would have spent it.
Love the pic with Papa positively beaming with the girls and Julia with the clowns. That smile could go either way........ like "Yeah! I'm riding with the clowns!" or "Someone get me down from here please."
“May God grant you always...A sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you."
"May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, The foresight to know where you are going, And the insight to know when you have gone too far”
"May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.”
“May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade you every step along the way. May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue. And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.”
“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”
“May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live”
May the sun shine all day long, everything go right and nothing wrong. May those you love bring love back to you, and may all the wishes you wish come true!”
“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
“May the friendships you make be those which endure and all of your grey clouds be small ones for sure. And trusting in Him to Whom we all pray, may a song fill your heart every step of the way.”
“May your days be many and your troubles be few. May all God's blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you may your heart be strong. May you find what you're seeking wherever you roam.”
“May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night and a smooth road all the way to your door.”
“May you get to heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead”
“May you have love that never ends, lots of money and lots of friends. Health be yours, whatever you do and may God send many blessings to you.”
• At Trinity Law School, the professor asked a student if he knew what the Roe vs. Wade decision was. He sat quietly, pondering this profound question. Finally, after giving it a lot of thought, he sighed and said, "I believe, sir, this was the decision George Washington made prior to crossing the Delaware."
May you always walk in sunshine.
May you never want for more.
May Irish angels rest their wings right beside your door.
“May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks, may your heart be as light as a song, may each day bring you bright, happy hours that stay with you all the year long.”
If I start the day with Guinness, I will be lying horizontal on the rug at circle time by ten o'clock snack.
St Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays as it reminds me of my Irish heritage.
We always wore green to school when we were kids, but my grandmother would have a fit. She would insist that we should wear orange because her ancestors were orangemen. We pretty much ignored her because we knew we would get pinched at school if we didn't wear green.
Love your kelly green icon Rose.
