I don't know if many of you are familiar with CareMarkx. It's a maiil-order pharmacy that was recently purchased from CVS. My parents' prescriptions have been covered through CareMarkx for a long time. (The x on the end is at the tip of the k, so the r and the x from a RX, I think the name is simply pronounced like CareMark, if that makes a difference...)
Anyway, my dad is retired from the post office. If any of you are retired or employed through the federal government, you can now get a special CVS card. My parents gave me one of theirs as I often stop and pick up medicine and stuff for them.
Today, I purchased some CVS-brand over-the-counter medicine, the clerk saw my caremark card and told me that I would be better using it because you get a 20 percent discount on CVS brands. I told her it was my parents card...she said it didn't matter and there wasn't a limit on how much you could get every month.
I saved quite a bit, as I was getting my monthly supply of Benedryl, Zyrtec, Claritin and Prilosec (all CVS Brand.) Medicine works differently with different people. Personally, I have found the CVS brand to be just as good as the high-dollar amount.
