Tonight it was spaghetti and meatballs, bread and mandarin oranges.
Price breakdown:
Meatballs- $1.49 after sale and coupon
Spaghetti noodles--free when I bought the meatballs
Sauce-$1.08 after sale and coupon
Bread--I took an .88 loaf of bread, buttered just over 1/2 of it, then sprinkled on garlic salt and tossed it in the oven.
margarine--I am figuring I used about 5 cents worth of the container I paid .19 for after sale and coupon.
Cheese--we like cheese on our spaghetti and we used the other half of the $2.99 bag so $1.50
Mandarin oranges $1 after sale and coupon
Grand total for the meal was $6.00 and we served 9 of us tonight.
(No, no one ever gets a full serving of fruit at a meal unless we buy fresh fruit)

Walker had 2 grilled cheese sandwiche, and I had 4 mini pizzas made of English muffin halves. Those were the last 4 muffins in the bag, so not enough for thw two of us, so Walker made himself 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. On the pizzas I had some tomato sauce, two kinds of chesse, mushrooms, and red peppers. We're stuffed!!!!
But I blew the budget when I bought my husband 2 dark chocolate Godiva bars for $3 a piece. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Oh well, what good is a husband like him if I can't splurge on chocolate for him?
