I know that some women love to shop for clothes. They must have a lot more time on their hands than I do, or something. I really hate it.
I used to think I just hated it because I had to shop the plus sizes. But now I don't shop the plus sizes anymore (and I am thankful, although size 12 is still hardly tiny,) but I still hate clothes shopping.
Today, I spent 3 1/2 hours in 3 different stores trying to find a black pantsuit, because that is what the bride whose wedding I'm officiating April 4th wanted me to wear. But I did not find one single black pantsuit, and I could not find a black blazer and pair of dress pants that matched, either. So I ended up buying a cute black dress with an attached jacket; I figure if she doesn't like it she can find me somthing else to wear, and I'll keep the dress for something else. Who in the world cares what an officiant is wearing, as long as it's not indecent and it doesn't attract attention away from the bridal party?
Her colors are black and red; I bought some red beads or I may try to find a red broach, which is what she suggested I wear with the black pantsuit that does not exist anywhere I shop.
