Word from Down Under

I just spent a most delightful Skype/web cam visit with Tonia and family. We visited for about an hour following the family reunion, in what will likely be our last long interchange for the remainder of her stay. Everyone had a wonderful time and still were during our exchange that lasted until after one o'clock in the morning their time.

Tonia wanted all of you to know that her internet connection for the remainder of the visit will be very limited, and will not be supporting photo uploading. Further chronicles of travel will have to wait until her return to the States on the 20th. I assured her that we all understand and look forward to her photos when we can see them.

She is having a marvelous time, and will share more with all of you as soon as she can. As I receive pertinent news I will pass it along.

Debbie, thank you for the update, Aren't we the lucky ones, to live in times where the technology can connect us so well, over such distances? It's a way to share the travel experience, but also to remain connected to home: the best of both worlds.

I'm so happy to hear that Tonia's trip is going so well. Sounds like it's everything she hoped for as she planned and dreamed of it.

That's the thing about the webcam....it's really just so wonderful...far better then a phone call. You actually get to see your loved one and share in their experiences. Who would have ever believed Deb that you could attend a family reunion down under sitting in your house in Arkansas ten years ago.

Here's wishing Tonia the best as she reconnects with her family in the Land of Oz.
