Hello Disney fans!
I recently joined this group and thought I'd share a few of the interesting websites I've come across that should be of interest to true Disney fans. Since most of you are fans of all things Disney, you probably are already aware of the great discussion board at http://disboards.com/. They have great info to help plan your next trip and have members that are very willing to share their tips and experiences with you.Â
Another forum is found at http://passporter.com/. This forum I think evolved out of the PassPorter book (which you can purchase at the website as well). If you're not familiar with the PassPorter, it is a great travel book that is different than all of the others on the market, and there are many different kinds available (Disneyland, Disney Cruise, etc.). I get one each year we take a Disney vacation. The book covers all of the basics of planning a Disney trip and has pul-out colored maps of each of the parks. The Walt Disney World one has maps of all 4 of its parks. There's also ratings of each of the attractions - the authors' ratings, the ratings submitted by readers and ratings by the author's children. But, the thing that makes the book really special are the pockets in the back where you can keep important reservation papers for each leg of your travel (airline info, hotel, dining ressies, etc.). It also helps you remember each day of your trip by having info on the outside to help track budgets for meals, tickets and other items.
And, if you are a true Disney nut (like me) and have to have your Disney fix to keep you going when you're not in the parks, check out http://www.subsonicradio.com/. Besides having their own forum, the main thing they provide is theme park audio & music that you can actually hear when you're at the parks. Once you register, you get an allotment of 1800 points that you can use to request songs from their very comprehensive list (you can earn additional points by posting on their forums). Depending on the requests already in queue, you might have to wait several hours before your song plays, but there's always a variety of music that people choose to have playing. Besides the request streams, there's also a scheduled stream (plays music from certain parks during certain times of the day), a stream for avid followers of all things Soarin' as well as Star Tunnel lovers. During the holidays, there's a special stream for the holiday music you throughout the parks. The neat thing is the fact that there's music not only from WDW or Disneyland, but also from their parks in Paris and Tokyo.
Just thought I'd share some of my favorite Disney sites that I've run across over the years. Check them out and let me know what you think!
