On Wednesday my dad took all of us on a tour to Miami. I am rarely downtown, as the area we live in has so much to offer, so it was quite interesting to explore parts of Miami that I had not seen before.
After driving through the Coral Way neighborhood in Coral Gables, we went down Calle Ocho, which goes through Little Havana.

Lots of people were playing Dominos at Maximo Gomez Park on Calle Ocho.

I wish my husband could had seen this, as he plays Domino tournaments every Friday night.

We found an old movie theater.

The stars on Calle Ocho

Even McDonalds had a cubana feel.

There were many cafes and small specialized shops on Calle Ocho.

I hope you enjoyed the tour down Calle Ocho, we stopped in for ice cream, so more will be coming.

I live photo essays though, great job on this one. My favorite is that huge chicken/ rooster thing.
Marianne, it sure felt like a whole other country, but then again entire South Florida seems so different than the rest of the US, and everywhere on the streets you hear different languages.
Did you notice the street signs are in Spanish also?
