I'm not superstitious, really I'm not. Only over that thing about putting a hat on a bed. Of course, I'd never on purpose break a mirror. It's probably just coincidence that this is Friday the 13th and already today several things have gone wrong.
My desktop computer has something going on with its clipboard. It doesn't want me to copy jpegs and then paste them. It also won't "save photo as..." I have 39 megs of space left on the drive, so it's not that.
My husband went out to find a crack almost half way across his truck's windshield this morning. Our detuctable? $250. Price of a new windshield? $230. *sigh*
I tried to write my Writing Essentials (Tuesday) character's "field trip" to a surreal carriage house. It is a steaming pile of junk. It sounds as if an overly hormonal fifteen year old wrote it. It is also way too long and boring. I love the challenge of the Writing Essentials assignments, and I will keep on trying to get this right. That's the purpose of it all, isn't it? I do wonder if I try again on Saturday the 14th if it might not be a better piece.
At 2 p.m. today I have a hair appointment. Do I dare get a new hairdo on Friday the 13th? It sounds like I'm asking for three months of flyaway bits and bald spots, doesn't it? I'm not superstitious, but... I'll get back to you on how the hair styling turns out.

I'm waiting for my insurance company to return a call about a cracked windshield too. Who knew? It's an epidemic!
Kris - You know, I thought it odd when I called yesterday and my hairdresser could do it so quickly, and then she told me to pick the time. This is a person who's usually booked up a couple of days in advance, at least. I guess other people thought twice about the date.
I thought you were growing your hair out longer?
Let's see that new 'do ;-)
Marianne, Van called, and yep, our detuctable includes broken glass. I was growing my hair out but I just couldn't take it anymore - I looked like Moe on a bad day.
flit, well, the haircut turned out okay if somewhat short, and I navigated Wal Mart without being killed, so everything's okay.
Rose, I'll have to get Van to take a picture of it next time I have makeup on. I just looked at your swamp pics - wow!
The carriage house assignment was definitely difficult. I had to make a list of what was in there, and somehow I still managed to add something. Luckily Sandy approved! :) Whew. I've had to do multiple writeups on some of the other assignments. Sometimes it flows, sometimes it doesn't.
If there's time - don't get your hair cut today.
If its too late - I'm sure it looks lovely.
My son was born on Friday the 13th, under a full moon. I lost all of my superstitions about the day when that happened.
Although, yesterday was hideous at work, and then I got hit with mandatory overtime, so it wasn't exactly the greatest Friday the 13th I've ever had, either.
