Coral Way, Miami - A Very Special Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Coral Way in Coral Gables, Miami is quite different from anything else in the area.

It was created in Italian style in the 1920s, and much of the style can still be found.

The streets are lined with ficus, banyan and mahogany trees as well as palm trees.

I almost missed this. I love this style of "Florida house" and as a kid I was always watching for roofs that looked like these.
Nice -- brings back memories of when we lived in Florida, though not in that area, but one builder did the roofs like that. You have some beautiful photo's here.

The houses are really beautiful. They look like they each have their own unique history. All of the houses in my neighborhood look alike- some completely identical. It doesn't make for good stories.
