Hey everyone!

I have a really quick question for ya’.

As you know this is a group for BzzAgents to discuss all things BzzAgent. That said, we’ve talked about everything from getting freebies, products and what’s going in our lives. Cool stuff!

But, I’ve recently started seeing posts that have nothing to do with BzzAgent. For example posts about news articles to recipes. Is this alright with everyone?

Or do you think I should delete from this group? I want to hear your thoughts. What do you want this group to be?

I was feeling that this group should be monitored and only used for Bzz Agent and the Bzz campaign postings. No offense to anyone. I notice there are quite a few Bzz groups now, all using the same border, it gets confusing, especially when you want to post about your Bzz campaign. Hint - it has been my experience that if you don't have a monitored group, people will post everything to it, making it very hard to manage. The other Bzz groups have a little of everything in them already, so having your group monitored only for posts pertaining to Bzz would be great IMHO. This leaves the members to decide if they want to belong to all of the groups or just the monitored "Bzz Only" group.
Just my opinion, I belong to most of them but would love to see this one dedicated just to Bzz articles, photos and videos.

I have found with my own group for my website, if you allow others to post everything, they will. I had to moderate the group to keep anything non-site related restricted to the other groups who do not mind posting everything.
Many users on Gather are just posting for points, and not anything of relevance to the group intended. Moderating will take your time from your work, but asking members to keep to BzzAgent is not out of the question.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I feel like part of the reason for this site is to further the "sense of community" inside BzzAgent. To form friendships, network, and spread the BzzAgent word!

I agree that the site definitely need to be well moderated, and that can get difficult when anything and evreything is posted EVERYWHERE. Maybe there should be a specific thread or forum for non-BzzAgent related items to be posted. Anything outside of that thread/forum isn't allowed. JMHO.

Welcome to Gather. None of the groups stay on topic unless you moderate the submissions and reject all off topic posts. Its annoying and a lot of work but I think the best groups are the ones that stay on topic.

Yes , I was a bit confused when I joined up the other day. Was having a hard time finding Bzz Things only. I was thinking "I thought this was a Bzz site "lol. Just bzzing only would be best I believe.

I suggest you keep it on topic or it loses it's relevance. There are tons of groups to "post anything" too, and "theme type" groups should stay focused in my mind. If not, why bother creating it?

I kind of have mixed feelings on this. I mean it is nice to really get to know the other agents on a more personal level but I also dont want to have to sift through tons of other posts when I just want to find Bzz info. I think maybe if there could be a separate "anything goes" type of forum within the group that does not necessarily be monitored that would be great too.

If you want OT anything posts - create or join a group for that. In the search for points, I think a lot of people post to every group they belong to. I would prefer to see only Bzz related stuff here. I really like having a place to hear about the latest campaigns and people's bzz and not have to wade through a bunch of other stuff (like I had to just to find this post).

I dont think it really matters. I do how ever think you should be gettting the word around that you have a group on here..lol I was on here for a few months and knew nothing about the group being here. And I have also seen others say they didnt know BzzAgent was on gather either.. So maybe you could some how post somethin gon the bzzAgent site about joining gather group if people belong to gather:) that my thoughts

I agree I think the group needs to be monitored and those other articles deleted. There are a few people on here that publish their articles to every group they belong to without paying attention to the guidelines. This group should only be about BzzAgent.

I think a theme specific group should remain theme specific. I have a Bzz Agent group Bzz=ee Bees and keep it moderated only allowing posts about Bzz Agent Activities. There are enough post anything groups for all the other stuff.

I agree with most of the above that it should just be Bzz related stuff. It makes it easier to find what I'm looking for when I go to the group site and don't have to dig through other posts about things I don't care about at the moment.

I agree, With my groups I ended up making the group a monitored groups so that I did not have to go back in and remove off topic articles. I agree with everyone else that this group needs to be about BZz ONLY. But because this site is so broad in its membership people tend to post in all of the groups they belong to even when it is off topic that is why a lot of groups revert to being monitored.

I would alos like to add howe much I like the groupo and how helpful it is to both new agents and the old timers. One thing I would love to see in the group is an occassional poll about what we might like to see or nt see BZz offer its agents. For example you could now go to polldaddy.com and create a poll asking what we like best or least about the new look of the BZZ site. This would be very helpful to us as agents and I believe to BZz itself.

IT might also be helpful to add a RSS feed to the group's home page with the current campaigns that are going on at BZZ, likewise you could rotate this with a feed of the promoted frogs. People at gather even if not a BZZ agent just might click on the links for these items and this would only be promoting more WOM and traffic to frog web sites and tto the sponsers of the campiagns that BZZ has contracted with.

I was afraid before I came to the comments that I would be alone in my thoughts to keep it just Bzz! I am happy to hear (read) that everyone feels the same way. If I wanted to join a group about just anything, I would not have joined this group. I like having a place to Bzz and read about other campains.

I prefer the group stick to posts related to bzz agent stuff. It can be frustrating going to a group's homepage, and finding material that has nothing to do with the group or its purpose.

I think it should be buzz stuff only. Sometimes people make mistakes or just don't pay attention when they are posting to groups. But moderating a group can take up time. If you don't have time to moderate it, I would suggest that you feature all the bzz related articles.

Plzzzzz keep BzzAgent.gather.com simple and direct to the subject(s): BzzAgent campaigns, sponsors news, Bzz news & events (current, upcoming, what-you-like-to-see polls, etc.), owner's important notes/comments (on the top right corner of the group,). Oh, perhaps a simple of set rules as how to use certain keyword(tags) related to their post. Thanks!:)

I prefer it to be about Buzz Agent only. I leave theme groups that do not stay on topic and become a post all. If I wanted to be a member of a post all group. I would join one. Please consider moterating the groups content.

And then there is also the subject of the spin-off Bzz groups by individuals not by BzzAgent; is this appropriate or should be allowed. Possibly individuals should be required to insert a "disclaimer" on the group home page they are a spin-off (or similar).

Bzz only! I agree with what a couple of people said higher up. There are numerous members who post everything they post to every group they are a member of....chances are they are not even consciously flooding the BzzBoard, it is just on their list of groups.

I found the gather Bzz group in the frogpond, and I couldn't have been happier! I would like to use this group to find only Bzz related information as I know there are numerous other groups for all things random.

I came to the Bzz group a couple of days ago - and found things posted ONLY to the Bzz group that had NOTHING to do with Bzz. It wasn't like the person accidently hit the group in a list of groups - it was the ONLY group they posted to.

I think it should be for BzzAgent related posts/photos only, not randon stuff.

If you want to take the time to moderate it I'd also prefer Bzz only. But it is very time consuming to keep it on topic.

I also just found this group a few days ago in one of the Frogs. I have been a member of Gather for two years and a BzzAgent almost two years.

It is frustrating, 'cause, in my opinion, we have set these groups up for discussion, for those interested in this topic. There are several, "post anything" groups, for the other stuff. I think that Bzz only would be great. I think that is what was intended. All things bzz, from,"Has anyone received their kit yet???" To just sharing experiences that you have being a bzz agent... We have all had humorous situations, while bzzing someone. It would be good for the new people to hear all sides of being a bzz agent. They need to know about all the campaigns that are offered, and the responses that some people have to Bzz agents. I just got my Glade Soy Fragrance Campaign today... and that smells great! I just want to go out and try all of the fragrances! Keep it Bzz only, and perhaps a sister site, that can be bzz agents that want to "Gather" and share things non-buzz. Thanks for asking Jono!

Yep, I'm all for Bzz only!!! I think the group should be monitored to accept only Bzz related posts. There are so many post all groups and this one is not what that is all about. If you don't monitor it, believe me, it will NEVER STOP!! There are some people that just can't seem to take the time to read what a group is about regardless. I didn't take the time to read other comments on here but I'm sure I know where most stand. ;)

I would definitely prefer to see only Bzz related things here. If other stuff is allowed then soon this group will be so overrun with things like "Free music downloads!" and "I only need 500 more points!" that it will take all day just to find one item about BzzAgent and the whole group will become pretty useless. Just my opinion but based on experience. :) Namaste.

Bzz only please. I came to this site thru a Womlet I received because I am a new bzzagent and want to learn as much as I can to be the best bzzagent I can. But when I came and saw all the other posts I thought it was a waste of time. Then I saw this question and thought maybe it will turn into bzz only and I can spend time learning and sharing. BZZ related material only please. Isn't that the purpose of groups? To discuss in a groups a specific topic/ If we allow everything then there is no use having a group.
