Now that the tribes are even once again Survivor Tocantins can go anywhere. Back at the Jalapao camp following the sad vote off of Sandy, things were looking up for team Exile. Taj and Stephen spent the morning together scratching and searching for the idol. Taj knew exactly where it was and pulled yet another idol out of the Treemail’s ass. Seriously whoever came up with that hiding spot is pure genius. She immediately handed the idol off to Stephen since he’d be less obvious of having it. Oh he also had pockets. Could prove to be a problem though considering Stephen has no plan of giving it back. Maybe he isn’t as nice as Taj thought. Over at Timberia it was also all about the idol. Finally alone, Sierra asked Brendan why he never told her. She understood it wasn’t anything bad and both laughed at the fact that they stumbled into power. Oh how power crumbles though.
With both talking about Exile what better then to head to it? It was time for the reward and it was a good one! The winning tribe got to go to “Cafe Charmin”. The two don’t really mix but eh they have to advertise somehow. Each round one player was spun on a huge version of a sit-and-spin. They then had to run over a balance beam, first across gained a point. First tribe to three points won. Tyson and Taj were up first and both were wobbly but made it across on their first try. Tyson beat out Taj by a few steps, giving Timberia the early lead. Next up were Spencer and Erinn and both fell off on their first try. On the second time around, Spencer came out on top tieing up the score. For the third spin around it was JT vs Sierra. Both were obviously dizzy and the most humorous round. JT was able to pull through though and gained the second point for Jalapao. In the possible last round it was Debbie vs Sydney. Sydney was able to pass Debbie on her second time and gained the win. All were excited but nobody more then Taj. They sent Brendan to Exile and for once he didn’t take her. It was Stephen’s turn to finally head to Exile, but it didn’t prove as great as Brendan hoped for.
At Cafe Charmin the winning Jalapao filled their mouths with food. Taj was most happy as she’s never been to a reward considering it was her first time not in exile. It seems she’s been out of the loop because of it and other felt she was losing out on valuable bonding time. Joe felt she wasn’t as close as the rest and could be a good reason to send her out. Things got even better when JT “found” the letters from home, causing everyone to burst into tears. They weren’t expecting them and all felt a boost from the love. Over at Timberia things weren’t looking good for team Exile. Tyson caught on that Brendan was close with the other tribe due to his strange Exile choice of Stephen. He brought it up to Coach and Debbie, both went along. Debbie even said not to tell Sierra which is smart, but surprising. I thought her and Sierra were close, guess not. They want him out if they lose, proving just the first hurdle for team Exile this episode. It then turned to the rain and Erinn’s continuing hate for Coach. She thinks he isn’t some super survivor man like he acts and she’s probably right.
Things got a bit more interesting for the Exile alliance as Brendan and Stephen finally met. Brendan felt that Stephen could be trusted, but the feeling was not mutual. Stephen didn’t want to trust someone he talked to for five minutes and that could prove very deadly for the other three he’s “aligned” with. The next Stephen and Sydney were talking. She discussed her dream, which led her to wanting to marry her boyfriend. Spencer, however, didn’t talk about much. She asked him about girlfriends and he avoided the subject. He has yet to tell anyone that he’s gay, guess he didn’t tell them he’s dating China winner Todd then! Now that Spencer had his “I’m getting voted out this episode possibly” segment it was time for the immunity challenge. Each team would have four catches and two who slung balls into a court. Sydney and Stephen were the singers for Jalapao while Erinn and Debbie flung for Timberia. JT was the powerhouse of the challenge and got the first two catches while Joe hurt his knee. Brendan was able to tie it back up with two catches though but JT continued. He even lost a tooth during one catch which led Jeff to scream “pick it up”! He must have a tooth fetish or something, I’m sure we’ll hear about it on his blog tomorrow.
With yet another catch JT gained the fourth point, making it four to two. Tyson then picked up the pace and caught two more balls, tieing it up. JT wasn’t happy with Spencer or Taj during the challenge, as they were slacking while blocking, and it basically cost them the game. Tyson grabbed the last point, easily, and sent Jalapao back to Tribal Council. Guess the Timberia slump is finally over. Back at camp Jalapao Taj was “hot”. Not hot hot, mad rather. She felt she didn’t perform during the challenge and was sick of people acting all nice then voting different at tribal. Not sure why she did it, but while in the lake with the guys Taj flipped. She called out Joe for not being friendly to her and he basically said he wanted her gone. Stephen was somewhat for voting her out too, since then he had the idol all to himself. JT had a different plan though. He wanted Spencer out for not doing well in the challenge, and Spencer knew that. He joined the guys at the lake where they told him he could be going and he didn’t do too much to make them change their minds.
At their second Tribal Council in a row Jeff once again pulled things out of them. Taj discussed her target for going to Exile and her rant back at camp. She knew she wasn’t as tight as the rest were and wasn’t afraid to say anything. Joe called her out about the idol, and never saying that she didn’t have it. She then told everyone she didn’t, and technically she doesn’t. Stephen does. Jeff then pulled out Spencer’s worry. He talked about knowing how Taj felt and knowing that he could go. He did just that, went. Everyone, but he himself, voted for Spencer to go and that left us at eleven. It was somewhat obvious that Spencer was going with editing during this episode but it was still a good one. Sadly we don’t have Survivor for two more weeks since March Madness is upon us so check back on Wednesday, March 25th for the next episode of Survivor Tocantins to air!
