Budget Supper March 12, 2009

I thought I would share our budget meals.

Tonight we had pizza, salad, and parfait fruit cups.

I paid $6.98 for the 2 frozen Freschetta cheese pizzas after sale and coupons.

The salad was free after it was marked down and I used a coupon

The salad dressing was free bought with sale and coupon at an earlier date.

The cheese was $2.99 for the bag and we used about 1/2 of it so $1.50

The Dole parfait cups (2-packages) were bought on sale with coupons for a total of $2.58.

 

Grand total of supper was $11.06.

We have 11 people in the house, and 2 were gone.  So, we fed 9 people at a cost of just $1.23 per person.

not bad at all,, we had 7 here at one time and I would spend about 300/400 a month, so yes it is feasable

This is a truly great idea, I think I might try this! Or at least mapping out how much each meal costs, maybe it'll help me cut some! :-)

That's awesome. I've been watching one of our local grocery stores for what they are calling "meal deals". They've had two so far. I bought a party size Stouffer's lasagna for $11.98 and got a free bag of salad, a free thing of garlic bread, a free thing of salad dressing and either a free cake or ice cream.
