I'm a BzzAgent and what follows is a Bzz Report about Palmolive Pure + Clear dish soap.
I'm sort of a nerd when it comes to cleaning products: I was super duper excited about receiving my Palmolive Pure + Clear Bzz Kit. I was doubly excited because a recent event put my dishwasher out of service, so I legitimately *needed* some dish soap!
The kit arrived in today's mail. I busted it open while still sitting in my car, and was impressed with the contents: A 20-ounce bottle of the product in the Spring Fresh scent, a large handful of 2-ounce samples, the Bzz Guide, and a handful of $1 off coupons.
The first thing I noticed about the dish soap was its unusual fluidity. Of course dish soaps are liquid, but this one is just a little thicker than water. It's not as gel-ly as most of the soaps I've used in the past, probably because it doesn't contain a lot of the chemicals that other soaps contain. I wondered at the time if that meant the suds would be unimpressive; more on that shortly.
The second thing I did was pop open the top of the bottle and give it a sniff, since everyone and their dog has a different notion of how 'Spring' smells. I have to say that I like Palmolive's interpretation here: It's essentially a classic green apple-like smell. Very pleasant.
Later at home, I got to work with my official product testing phase! I ran hot water, and added a small squirt of soap. Despite my earlier concerns, it sudzed easily and quickly. I didn't have anything truly challening to wash this evening - no sauce-encrusted pans - but I did wash all of our dinner dishes, and that one squirt of soap was enough to finish the entire load. I continued to appreciate the pleasant scent, and I also appreciated that my hands didn't feel terribly dried out after I'd finished. My usual store brand dish soap is brutal on my hands, so this was a nice change.
All in all, I like this product and will continue to recommend it to others as opportunities arise. The fact that it's environmentally friendly is a plus, too, as is its middle-of-the-road pricing when it comes to dish soaps ($2.79 suggested retail price, though always look for sales!).
