A man with no safety equipment survived a trip over the Horsehoe Falls in Niagara Falls today around 2 PM. He suffered head trauma and hypothermia in what may have been a suicide attempt. Witnesses spotted him climbing over a fence and jumping in the water. After his plunge over the falls, he refused to cooperate with first responders so a helicopter from a private company used it's rotor wash to push the man toward shore. After 40 minutes the naked man, whose clothes had been torn away in the ordeal, was pulled to safety by a firefighter.
Authorities are withholding the name of the man, who was taken to Greater Niagara General Hospital until they can interview him. He will likely be charged with illegally performing a stunt. He is believed to be only the third person to go over the falls and survive.
I believe the man is now sitting there thinking to himself, "Man, I couldn't even get that right."
