Here is a short video clip from a seminar that Russell Brunson did showing one of the most simple (yet overlooked) steps in creating a successful online internet business. Simple Steps to Create Your Online Internet Business
Russell Brunson is the founder and CEO of DotComSecrets that helps others start, build and promote their online business.
You can write out an outline to be the backbone for an e-book or some other information product you want to create. But did you know that you can base an entire business system on that same outline?
The potential for establishing a whole system for Russell's Internet business from a simple outline became clear to him almost by accident. He had written a table of contents for a book he was planning to write. Instead, he ended up teaching from that outline at a seminar for two hours.
Since then we’ve built our entire company from that outline. Here’s how it works.
- First, create an outline. The most important recommendation here is not to base your outline on your own thoughts only. Solicit customers’ feedback. Find out the number one question they have about the topic. You can do this by posting messages on related forums, and you’ll be amazed at the different kinds of responses you will get.
- Next, make sure your outline is very modular. Break down the main topic into different modules or chapters. This will come in handy later on.
- Then, give each module a headline such as “Discover the Secrets of…” and “How to …” just as you would do in a sales letter.
- Lastly, make sure that each module can become a product in and of itself. Your sections should have big enough ideas that each can be a project that stands alone if needed. This is going to be very important later when we talk about ramping up and making more and more money.
The entire business of Russell Brunson was based into this outline and all seminars, workshops, coaching and other products of DotComSecrets are still based on that original outline.
It is not just a product but an entire business you are building out of the system outline. Follow these steps, and you’ll be able to do it too.
