The Squirrel and the Birdfeeder..

We have some squirrels that hang out in our backyard.  They have nests up in the top of one of our trees.  Now that we have the bird feeder out there I see them around even more, searching the ground for fallen seed.  This morning I looked out and saw that this sqirrel had figured out how to get up to my feeder. 

 

Here are a few pics that I got of him.  Some are a little blurry I know....  He was a quick lil guy and didn't stay still for long..  Then on top of that Maddie was climbing all over me as I tried to take pics because she wanted to see out the window and watch him too.  So she kept bumping my arms and making my camera shake as I tried to take pics..

LOL, I used to love to watch the squirrels antics. I had this same feeder up north and nothing would keep the squirrels out of it. You got wonderful photos of him in action here.

Those shots are hilarious! They are wily creatures aren't they? I know that you put that feeder out for the birds, but watching his antics is probably a lot more fun:)

Great photos. You need a spinning flipper feeder like mine. No more squirrels except on the ground.

Great pictures. When I was a kid, we had a hanging bird feeder above our deck, and it was always great fun to watch how inventive the squirrels could be in trying to get the seed. They were pretty unstoppable, and after a while they knocked so much seed down that it brought in rats. Great fun.

IT's amazing what those little buggers will do. Cute though.
We've done the dome style UNDER the feeder as it hung from a post, to keep them out of the feeder, but made sure we leave seeds on the ground when we re-fill it.
