I just paused in catching up from DVR shows to hear about 2 minutes of the local news. Tonight, 3 guys got all ticked off that their order wasn't right, so they started trashing the restaurant- throwing things all over, using the high chairs to break stuff, etc.
When the manager went out to get their plates, they jumped him, and beat him up pretty bad, before taking off. They were caught, though.
This is the Taco Bell near the apartment we used to live at. The area we were in was nice, but if you got a few blocks further down, it started to get a bit more run down. The Taco Bell was in that area. It's one of the areas where I'd only go through the drive through at night, unless Nick was with me.
It's not a bad area, just.. not -nice-, per say. Glad I don't live near there anymore! We used to have way too many late night taco cravings. The news post didn't say if there were any customers in there, or if anyone other than the manager was injured, so I'm guessing no one else was hurt.

When I was in Australia, and this was 20 years ago, I was absolutely amazed at the politeness and respectfulness of the children there. Adults were still treated with dignity there. Children gave up seats on the bus, opened doors and showed reverance toward adults... something that has lacked here for a much longer time.
I am not saying they are perfect but there is something to be said for a little more paying attention to our youth when they are still very young, and teaching those manners and respect. We've lost something very dear along the wayside, and until we refind it, unfortunately, stories like this will become the norm, not the odd.
Six months ago we had a women kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend from the Taco Bell not far from me.
