Dear Michael,
As a long-time friend and trustee of Environmental Defense Fund, I was thrilled to hear last fall that The Discovery Channel was so taken with Fred Krupp's best-selling book Earth: The Sequel—The Race to Reinvent Energy and Stop Global Warming that they decided to make a television special out it.
This new, one-hour Discovery show, also called Earth: the Sequel, will air for the first time on March 11 at 10pm Eastern (check local listings).
I invite you to join me and the entire EDF family and pledge to watch this Discovery special.
Then please forward this email on to friends and family to encourage them to watch.
This exciting new show could not have come at a better or more important time.
President Barack Obama and Congressional leaders have made passing a strong global warming bill a priority this year.
Such a bill would create economic incentives to cut our global warming pollution and reward the exciting green energy innovation described in the Discovery special.
I hope you will mark your calendars and be sure not to miss this excellent new show.
And by pledging to watch the show, we'll send you a reminder email on the morning of March 11.
Thanks for your activism and support,
Joanne Woodward
EDF Trustee
P.S. The revised paperback edition of Earth: The Sequel is now available online. Please order today for a detailed account of how our green energy future is being invented and built today.
