I'm an avid people watcher. Sometimes I come across intriguing physical facets of human beings and just can't get them out of my mind. Today I was wandering the beach over on Sanibel Island and came across quite a few interesting folks from all walks of life. I met foreigners from other countries, vacationers, and residents. It was a glorious day....84 degrees with bright, sunny skies and almost no humidity. Any slight humidity was driven away by the light gulf breeze that swept the island.
But back to my people watching.....have you ever seen something on or about a person that regardless of knowing how rude it is to stare...you just can't help looking? It happened to me. I tried to avert my eyes but I just couldn't. A rubber band grasped hold of my eyeballs and kept snapping them right back in the same direction, which meant my line of vision kept landing right smack in the middle of this guy's bare chest.
I know full well I shouldn't have been staring. It's like when the guy in the coffee shop has a big booger hanging out of his nose.....I certainly DON'T want to see it but my eyes won't let me look away. I try. I really do. And then SNAP! That rubber band feature takes hold yet again and I'm forced to look at some guy's booger while I'm ordering my cup of coffee, while he just walks around completely oblivious to the whole darn scenario.
So, I apologize for those offended by my inability to behave and to simply walk away and leave this poor man in peace on the beach.
Do I at least get a little bit of credit for paint shopping out his face???

Funny how something about a stranger can affect us.
What was it about this guy that caught your attention and held it?
