I agree that simple is good. I think that jewelry should be an accent to what you're wearing and some of the bigger pieces, although beautiful, can sometimes be intimidating to wear.
Where do you buy your beads and findings? I live in Tucson and we have the world-reknowned gem and mineral show here for 2 weeks every Feb. I go to the wholesale show and can give you some suggestions of where to buy if you have the need. I love the coin pearls you are using. I've made many lanyards for co-workers out of those and other smaller pearls (4-6mm) and beads. They sell great!
A lot would depend on whether you have a retail license. If you don't, it would be a good idea to get one, then you can purchase wholesale and save a lot. You never have to pay retail taxes either. FireMountain doesn't charge tax and most places won't charge if they are not in your state. I used to buy from FM until they changed to the current buy 200 items for the biggest price break. That killed it for me as I can purchase most things they have considerably cheaper.
There are 2 places that don't require a license, but you do have to register. www.artbeads.com does not charge shipping and they have a nice supply of Swarovski crystal plus many other things. I also like www.tx-beads.com. They have pearls at a great price and often have specials. They are also very fast in shipping. I usually get my order in 2-3 days. They are Asian and their use of English is a bit strange. Once you register with them you can do most everything on line.

If you know of any other websites or sources that would be great. I'm always up for bead shopping!!!! And I'm a pearl addict!!!!!
