Never underestimate the power of your words. With one small word you can change a person’s life. For better or for worse…
we underestimate the power of language whether it is written, sung or spoken. Take a bag of words, dip your hand in and see what you can do.
When we leave our words on-line we don’t always appreciate the impact they might have on others. It’s one of the reasons I try to write with positive intention. Even if I can’t see or anticipate the impact of my words at least I know I’ve written them with a positive purpose in mind, with the intention to create a positive, resourceful state in the person who’s reading them.
I read somewhere:
Never underestimate the power of your words. With one small word you can change a person’s life. For better or for worse. God puts us all in each other lives to impact one another in a POSITIVE WAY.
To LIFT Each other Up, Not to tear them down, that the enemy, the evil one, the devil.
The Bible says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Proverbs 18:21. “Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18. “The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:4.
Our words and actions are powerful beyond our comprehension. With our tongue, the words we speak, we can make war. With our tongue we can bring peace. As a child we are taught the rhyme, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt.”
However, as we mature, we begin to understand that, “Sticks and stones may break my bones; but bones will one day heal. Words you speak they pierce the soul; a pain may always feel.” Never underestimate the power of your words. With one small word you can change a person’s life. For better or for worse…
A wise man of God recently told me, “The opportunity of a lifetime has to be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.” Wow. What a profound statement. And so true. God gives us opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
Those opportunities are here today, gone tomorrow. We can either seize those opportunities as they come and make a positive impact in people’s lives, or we can let the opportunities pass us by, and in effect, make a “negative” impact.
The choice is yours.
I just like to take a minute more of your time.
"Other people's opinion of yours does not have to become your reality.
If you are carrying Hurt feelings about something that happened in
your past, they may hinder your ability to live in the present.
If you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad,
as opportunities, then you operate out of a higher level of consciousness.
You are the only real obstacle in your path to a fulfilling life.
The past is in your past, no matter what a person do, they can't go back.
But as long as you are living in the past you can't move forward.
Stop talking about what happen to you, or what other people did to you,
in your past, and stop telling people what other people are saying about you.
The time in NOW to leave the dead bury the dead.
Look I am not trying to be cold so PLEASE don't take this the wrong way,
I know how it feels to be made fun of as a child and as an adult,
But I refuse to allow anyone or anything to control my attitude, Because I understand anytime you allow anyone or any things to control your attitude you are allowing it to control where you are going in life.
When I don't like what someone is saying to me, I just tell them I love them too.
and move on.
See people can say what they want, But it is up to you & I to prove them right or wrong.
I know,
I will tell you I am more then SORRY for the things I say to you, and for the things I did to you, Please for give me and move on with your life!!!!!!!
The time is now, You have lived to long with the hurt from the person who did you wrong.
P.S
Please don't past this pain you have to your love ones, So often we take things out on the people who we love the most and they past it on not really understanding what they are doing.
I talk to my boys all the time about how it feels when people make fun of them or laugh at them,
I ask them how do they feel, when this happen?
they say not very good.
Let not do this to other people.
Words are like, a knife cutting in to your heart, Some time in to the death of
your soul and no matter how many time you say I'm Sorry the open wound is still there,

In this finite life, we should all make the most of our windows of opportunities with a positive focus for good intentions on the road to enlightenment.

What a great and timely message for these stressful times when people in thier frustration over the economy may take it out on a loved one and say something hurtful that they don't really mean.
Im trying to catch up on coments while Im recouperating and I owe you many, please have patience with me. Keep up the good work
That's so true and a great reminder. We should think about what we are saying before we say it. Words can not be taken back.
I see that in my absence I missed some very valuable things.
This is one of the most powerful, and profound writings I have ever seen on Gather. It is truth.
For me, I TEST a thing before I'll accept its veracity, and with words, I have put them to the test, just as I have watched wiser people around me, more skilled in the use of words put them to the test.
People are NOT skilled with words due to their higher education or linguistic knowledge of the word(s), rather, they are skilled because they have learned the LAW of words, and use that law accurately.
,Arguably, words are the most powerful things in the universe;
that being said, I am so thankful to God that there are other elements/ingredients necessary to activate the power of words, else that POWER would definitely fall into the wrong/wicked hands.
Thank you for taking the time to share this.
'as apples of gold in silver carvings is a word spoken at the right time for it"....one of the gems from Proverbs.....what you wrote is so true....the title puts it simply and truthfully
