A good friend of ours in another state is working on a project designing CD covers with views of Tampa Bay and asked moi to take some shots. It was a fun shoot to do, although Mother Nature wasn't exactly cooperating.
It will be exciting to see the final edited product. Meanwhile, for my gather friends, here are some images from our recent evening at the beach. ENJOY!
This is a strip of beach off the Courtney Campbell bridge in Tampa, FL, near the popular Whiskey Joe's Bar and Grille in Tampa, about ten to fifteen minutes from Tampa International Airport.
So next time you have a couple of hours to kill in between flights.....
... unless of course you prefer shopping at the International Mall instead, the best place to be seen and hang out with the in-crowd, also just ten minutes from the airport.

Time to enjoy a drink on the deck at Whiskey Joe"s before heading home. That's the Howard Franklin bridge across the bay in the background.

Our temps dropped from 80 degrees down to 64 degrees - time to bring out the heater for us Floridians, sitting here in shorts and flip flops - the breeze is starting to feel, well ..... c-o-l-d ........:)

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Blessings and best wishes - S.
Ich wuensche Dir viel Glueck mit deinem Project..
May favs are the first palm trees shot and the first one with the lamp.
Congrats!
There used to be a pretty good Mexican restaurant near there too.
:)
Maria - thanks - man weiss ja nie wohin uns das Leben fuehrt.
Elizabeth - I sure hope to catch up with you next time you're my way:)
Lucky - that first lamp shot is my favorite too, I loved the atmosphere it conveyed. Of course you gotta have a palm tree shot and they wanted shots justs after sunset only. I hadn't even tried any sunset shots with my new camera yet, so I was kinda nervous.
There were no clouds so the sunset wasn't as exciting as it could have been, but I still had some great shots I took last year.
Thanks everyone for your nice comments - I appreciate each one:)
I so look forward to the end of the week - and Florida...
All the photos are beautiful, but that last one is absolutely perfect!! Good Job!!
Salud
love and hugs...
Good grief, Rose! Up here in Oregon we'd be turning on the air conditioner at 64 degrees!
By the way, my favorite is the shot just above the part about being cold. The one with the tables and chairs and the two lights. But, they're all great! Way to go!
This is really nice. This is NOW FEATURED in Artistic Minds®
You did a GREAT JOB on this. You GO ROSE!
Your Friend,
Rene
Renee - thank you so much for the feature - I'm honored:)
Update: The preliminary edits I saw included the sunset with the fence and the deck shot wiht the heater and the clump of palms as well as another shot which I didn't include in this post.
