Autism Speaks Does Not Speak For Me

One of the founders of this charity did not even bother finding out why her son died.

The other one, a grandmother and wife of an NBC big wig with unlimited connections and resources.

They want to organize walks to parade around our children, raise millions of dollars with charity events that all go no where.

Now thet have created autism votes and sent out this email:

  President Obama Includes Funding For Autism In His FY 2010 Budget Proposal

Washington, DC (February 26, 2009) - Today President Barack Obama unveiled a Fiscal Year 2010 budget proposal that includes $211 million for the Combating Autism Act (CAA). This is the first year since the passage of the CAA that direct funding for autism has been included in the President's budget proposal. Passed in 2006, the CAA authorized $920 million in federal funding over five years to fight autism through biomedical and environmental research, surveillance, awareness and early identification.

If the government wants to fight autsim, they should have listened to one of the researchers of the chicken pox vaccine who stated on Springfield, Illinois public record that he would not administer this to his own child, it partially contains a strain that comes from putrified monkey kidneys.

It would have not hidden ELi Lilly under the Homeland Protection Act and allowed the parents, like myself who have children who are victims of Vaccsination Induced Autsim, who received injections and oral suspensisons that were then recalled on the FDA list to receive proper compensation for their damages and not cap the age. Or children are reaching ages 14-16 now, and they pulled a fast on by tryting to cap the damages at age three and then completely vanishing with Bush's Help. When Bush announced this, he gave the reasoning that he needed Eli Lilly's assistance with the 9/11 cause and all of our lawsuits were halted.

We should be allowed a higher tax credit for medical expenses related to our children's care. In any sense, there are certain medical conmditions where out of pocket expense can be outrageous. Cancer, ESRD, Alzheimers, Autism, I can go on and on.. If anyone has a documentable serious ailment with excessive out of pocket expense that exceeds the current 7.9% cap of income, then with proper domcumentation be allowed a higher credit. Or maybe this can be a tax credit at state level with each state.

We should be allowed no hassle from health inusrance carriers who wish to restrict care and treatment or charge outreageous premiums to cover our children.

The funding and help should be directed at the actual parents rather than thrown into charities who missappropriate the money with expensive advertsing and staging popularity stunts that earn money that goes no where.

Until the victims both children and parents receive individualized consideration, this bill offers very little help to anyone, because the government will not own up to its own mistakes of being responsible for contaminating the vaccines which triggered the problem in most of our children. There are many reasons for autism including genetic markers but in our case, these are symptoms following a vaccination injury.

My daughter was completely verbal until 11mos when overnight she lost all function of speech afetr having the MMR and OPV vaccinations. Both batches contained serial numbers that were published onthe recall list. Another woman who's child received the same batch, her daughter did not survive the night.

Please do not tell me that vaccinations are safe, because any educated person doing real research will know that each batch cannot be controlled carefully for safety and may or may not work. Case in point,last years flu vaccination did not work. My mother received one at Mayo Clinic and we were told this year, that the 2007 strain did not cover all the strains and cases as anticipated. The 2008 strain has been linked to many severs cases of stomach flu and severe gastric disturbances.

I am angry with Autism Speaks and this administration. The only senator who has a clue on this , has a grandson with autism. But no one higher up the chain had to suffer with their child on this yet. Until that happens, there may not be any realistic solutions in place.

Autsim Speaks should use their money and power to give grants to families overburdened by medical expenses instead of throwing fancy golf outiungs and car shows and proposing money into research that never happens. education is an important aspect, but all I have seen them dois throw money into PSA's and brochures and mailings asking for more money. So thanks for making us aware that Autsim exists, thanks alot.

If nothing else, do not cap the bill at early childhood intervention. Many of us have been waiting 18 years or more. Autism victims are growing up and many of them may not even be able to attend college because they did not receive the medical and financial help they need to enjoy their lives as mainstreamed children do.
