On still nights shadows give chase and demons lurk in childhood's corners.
Jealousy haunts tortured souls; cancerous neediness devours itself.
Vindictive acts lash out, while compassion dares to roam despite darkest hours.
In you I've found a home, you, my powerful fortress of devotion, dream and muse.
May I sleep peacefully.

Barbara Crooker also says, "Poetry involves layers ... and a lot of revisions." I whole-heartedly agree with that ... although sometimes I drive myself crazy with revisions!
I rarely revise anything, lol. I'm too busy writing new poems every day. They are my children as I've said. It's difficult for me to cut any lines or stanzas. I always need an editor, Aman, mentor or friends to help me decide what can be left out or improved.
It was great working with you, thanks. Have a great day!
I don't know about gems, I couldn't have created anything spectacular without Aman, Kathryn, and Marianne this weekend. Thanks again, Lewis!
