It flows, but poetry can be made stronger with the elimination of words or moving words around -

Instead of what you have, why not try something like this:

Jealousy haunts tortured souls

On still nights shadows chase you

In corners childhood demons lurk,

Cancerous neediness

Devours itself

Agonizing memories

And heart's unreason

In vindictive acts lashes out

Compassion dares to roam

Despite darkest hours,

In you I've found a home.

You, my powerful fortress of devotion,

dream and muse.

May I sleep peacefully.

Should be

In childhood's corners

Featured in the Triple Name Club.

Such darling, lovely ladies two! And the third darling, Nancy joining! This is such a treat for the senses, this magical, live collaboration between two such talented and lovely souls! Thank you for this beautiful version of my darling babykin's poem, Kathsie - you're a cornucopia of unexpected delights, really! I love what you did with this poem - there's a certain portion of it which has a very Classical feel about it, and told me how deep and wide your literary influences run!

Love doesn't hurt. Jennifer, love should be exactly how your last few lines described it and I am happy you have this in your life, my friend.

This has been a delightful thread and a flowing poem. The deep meaning doesn't escape and as Aman had supported you as you endure the torture by disease of your beloved father, your Gather friends support you in the maturation of your craft. I agree with Nan's "If only...."
